VINO NOBILE DI MONTEPULCIANO 2019 DOCG
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LA BRACCESCA
Fairly deep ruby colour with an attractive, fairly intense, very slightly spicy, bright, ripe, strawberry-plum fruit on the nose with some gentle cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, still youthful, bright, ripe, plum-crancherry flavours with an elegant, lingering, gently cedary, very faintly savoury, cassis-tinged finish. This tasty accessible blend of Prugnolo Gentile (aka Sangiovese) with a touch of Merlot has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L1137 on the back label. CSPC 566216

TASTING NOTE: I actually prefer this village bottling to the single-vineyard Riserva from the 2018 vintage. The La Braccesca 2019 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano offers bright fruit and fresh blackberry with integrated spice, tilled earth and pressed blue flower. Fresh acidity pops over the close. This is a balanced wine with velvety tannins. Drink date: 2022-2030. Score - 92 (Monica Larner, robertparker.com, Dec. 7, 2023) Price $ 32.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
