ATLANTIS DRY WHITE 2022 PGI Cyclades, Santorini
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ARGYROS
Bright very pale straw colour, the nose shows an avalanche of minerality with slightly spicy, ripe, youthful, melon-apple-lemon fruit along with some grassy notes. Dry, medium+ bodied, nicely structured, bright, gently spicy, fresh, ripe, lemon-apple-melon flavours with a very crisp, unoaked, faintly savoury finish. This blend of 90% Assyrtiko, 5% Athiri, and 5% Aidani has 13.5% alcohol and 2.6 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2013033 on the back label. It is ready-to-enjoy, but as it comes with a screwcap closure, it will likely keep for several years. Perfect with fried calamari. CSPC 371658

TASTING NOTE: Adored for its crisp style and salty flavour profile, Assyrtiko is a variety of grape that captures the easygoing, free-spirited nature of the Greek archipelago. This blend of Assyrtiko and Athiri is fresh and vibrant, with hints of lemon peel, lilac and pineapple. Serve it tonight alongside grilled octopus and tomato-and-feta salad. Price $ 22.95
