TWISTED SPARKLING 2021 Sustainable, Charmat method, VQA Ontario
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer FLAT ROCK
Here is my tasting note for the previous 2020 vintage. Medium-light straw colour. Spicy, faintly honeyed, ripe, apple nose with some some leesy-toasty notes. Off-dry, medium-light bodied, very spicy, honeyed, ripe apple-melon purée flavours with a lingering, fairly effervescent, somewhat tropical pineapple finish. Ready-to-drink. This blend of mostly Riesling with a touch of Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer is made in the Charmat Method meaning that it was aged on lees in tank for over a month followed by a secondary fermentation also in tank and then bottled with a crown cap. It has 12.5% alcohol and 12 g/L residual sugar. CSPC 14421

TASTING NOTE: The Flat Rock Twisted Sparkling is floral and tangy, with snappy fruit and superb balance. A fun, engaging wine made with entertainment in mind, it has the zest and character for everyday use but is by no means frivolous. It will brighten any celebration or meal.
