| Retasted on 2024-01-26 (L2243) and NOW RATED 93-points. This ripe and yet elegant blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Merlot is still youthful but surprisingly accessible at present. Fairly deep intense purple-red colour, it has an intense, faintly floral (roses), gently spicy, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis nose with some sandalwood-mineral notes. Dry, medium-full bodied and nicely structured with slightly spicy, fairly dense, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours which are followed up by a lingering, gently cedary, sandalwood-tinged, bright finish. It has 14% alcohol and about 1 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2256 on the lower part of the glass bottle. |
