MAYFLOWER 2020 Vinho Regional Alentejano |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
FLOR DE MAIO |
This unoaked, fairly juicy, somewhat rustic blend of Trincadeira, Aragonez and Syrah has a deep intense purple colour. The nose is quite spicy with bright, ripe, plummy-raspberry fruit along with some dusty notes. It’s dry, medium bodied and quite juicy with bright, slightly bitter, plummy-cherry flavours and a crisp, faintly rustic finish with some slight earthy notes. A casual, ready-to-drink quaffer, it has 13% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar. |

TASTING NOTE: This very fine blend of Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira, Aragonez and Syrah is sourced from clay, granite and limestone soils. This ripe, fun, well-priced wine shows well-defined dark fruit, spice and a fine tension and has good versatility with food. |
