Deep intense purple colour. Attractive, spicy, bright, ripe, black cherry purée nose with some vanilla-cedar notes. Dry, medium bodied, well balanced, tangy, gently spicy, fairly intense, juicy, ripe, plum-black-cherry purée flavours are followed up with a gently cedary, bright finish with lively acidity. Versatile, reasonably priced and ready-to-drink, half of this 100% Bonarda was aged for 10 months in 2nd and 3rd use French barrels, the balance in tanks. It has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 2-23213 on the back label. CSPC 261586

TASTING NOTE: Spiced, smoky dark cherries with some brambly fruit and potpourri. The simple, medium-bodied palate has some fresh, chewy tannins and a juicy, fruity finish with some sweet spices at the end. Crunchy and balanced. Drink now.
