This premium tier of Greystone comes from it own vineyards. Bright medium-deep red colour. Attractive, intense, slightly spicy, fairly complex, ripe, strawberry-raspberry-crancherry fruit on the nose with some complex, very gently cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied, fairly dense, slightly spicy, bright, ripe, plummy, crancherry flavours with a lingering, fairly high-acid, gently cedary, schisty finish. This 7.5% whole bunch, wild ferment was aged in 31% new French oak for 16 months. It has 13.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 19289 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TASTING NOTE: Refined and complex, the wine shows dark cherry, dried herb, game and toasted nut characters on the nose, followed by a concentrated palate displaying excellent weight and depth.
