Very deep intense purple-red colour. Rich, intense, ripe, black cherry purée nose with lots of gently earthy, cedary notes. Dry medium-full bodied, very well structured, intense, mouthfilling, ripe,plummy-black-cherry-cassias flavours with a lingering, fairly bright, gently complex, cedary finish. This blend was aged in 100% French oak (15% new). The Merlot and Cabernet Franc were both matured for 12 months in 500L puncheons, while the Cabernet Sauvignon was matured for 15 months in 300L hogsheads. TASTING NOTE: This elegant wine is based on Cabernet Sauvignon blended with Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It's broad-shouldered and sophisticated, with notes of dark fruit, cassis, mulberry, forest, freshly turned earth, and lifted herbal tones. A wine with the potential to evolve through to the end of the decade. [The Langton's Margaret River Wine Show did not include a tasting note.] Score - 96 (Langton's Margaret River Wine Show, 2021) |
