| Extremely deep intense purple colour. Attractive, intense, ripe plummy-black-cherry-cassis nose with some vanilla-cedar notes. Dry, medium bodied, nicely structured, intense, fresh, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, harmonious, bright, raspberry-tinged finish. This terrific value, crowd-pleasing, ready-to-enjoy Douro red is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz with 13% alcohol, 6 g/L residual sugar and 5.3 g/L total acidity. It was aged for 9 months in new French and previously used Hungarian oak casks. |
