SIGNATURE RESERVE SAUVIGNON BLANC 2022 Marlborough, South Island
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer KIM CRAWFORD
As a vetran Canadian judge at the international Concours Mondial du Sauvignon I can say that this 2020 is a real winner. Bright extremely pale straw colour. Attractive, spicy, bright, intense, grassy-rhubarb-tinged, ripe yellow grapefruit nose with lots of mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, tangy, grassy, fresh, ripe, melon-lemon-apple flavours with a lingering, crisp, rhubarb-red-grapefruit-tinged finish. It has 12.2% alcohol, 3 g/L residual sugar and a hefty 7.9 g/L total acidity with lot number 06.10.2022 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Capable of aging well and even improving over the next fife years. CSPC 924555

TASTING NOTE: Marlborough is one of New Zealand's sunniest, driest regions, and the warm, sunny days are perfect for encouraging ripeness and flavour development in the wines. But that's only half the story. Cool evenings ensure that grapes also develop high levels of acidity, providing balance and freshness to the final wines. This classic, ripe Savvy shows citrus, tropical fruit, herbs and minerality. Price $ 26.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
