RIED STIFTSBREITE ST. LAURENT AUSSTICH 2020 Single vineyard, Thermenregion, Niederösterreich
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer STIFT KLOSTERNEUBURG
Deep ruby purple colour. Intense, fairly complex, somewhat earthy, ripe plum fruit on the nose with a faintly sweaty note. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, bright, ripe, plum-crancherry fruit with a lingering, complex, somewhat earthy, high acid finish. This red will stand up well with bbq spicy sausages. Stift Klosterneuburg’s 40 hectare single-vineyard Stiftsbreite in Tattendorf is the largest St. Laurent vineyard in the world. CSPC 34386

TASTING NOTE: St. Laurent is an aromatic dark grape that's popular across central Europe but is most associated with Austria. This wine comes from Thermenregion: a relatively warm area of the Niederösterreich wine region. It shows cherry and spice notes and a silky mouthfeel. Enjoy it through 2026+.
