BRUT TRADITION CHAMPAGNE AC, France
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer BARON-FUENTÉ
Bright medium straw colour with streams of tiny bubbles. Complex, gently toasty, intense, ripe, lemon-apple meringue nose with mineral-tinged, buttery brioche notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, harmonious, ripe, lemon meringue flavours with a lingering, crisp, gently toasty finish. Very attractive and perfectly ready to enjoy. NEW in Vintages, this tasty blend of 70% Pinot Meunier and 30% Chardonnay has 12 % alcohol and only 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number LLBBTU21N-163U on the lower part of the glass bottle. A Best Buy
TASTING NOTE: Very interesting wine this and not your average Champagne thanks to its blend of pinot meunier and chardonnay which provides a youthful and complex style. It immediately bursts with pinot character - toastiness plus a line of strawberry fruits before leading to quite a full and rich palate for Champagne. There is an attractive, creamy, food-friendly texture too supported by crisp but not dominant acidity which makes for a great everyday Champagne when guests pop around. Drink: 2021-2025.
