JOSÉ ZUCCARDI MALBEC 2019 Valle de Uco, Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ZUCCARDI
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, complex, gently spicy, attractive, floral, violet-tinged nose with refined, ripe, Damson plum, cherry-cassis notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, very well structured, attractive, plum-black-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering harmonious, slightly spicy, refined, gently cedary finish. This 2019 is the best I have tasted to date. A blend of 95% Malbec and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is now aged for 24 months in foudres (2500 liters) and barrels (500 liters). It has 14.5% alcohol and 1.8 g/L residual sugar and 5.7 g/L total acidity. CSPC 20988
