| This CONSIGNMENT-ONLY (Cottonwood Agency) 2012 was just tasted side-by-side with the 2013 which is less expensive, quite ready-to-drink and also extremely good. The 2012 is built to last and has a very intense deep purple colour. An exceptional, still fairly youthful, complex, slightly spicy, bright, ripe, Damson plum nose with elegant cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured but harmonious, gently complex, very slightly spicy, intense, ripe, Damson plum fruit with some raspberry and black cherry notes followed up a lingering, well balanced, fairly rich finish. It has 14.5% alcohol, under 2 g/L residual sugar and two years aging in French oak with lot number L01/16 on the back label.
