Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer UMANI RONCHI
Bright medium straw colour. Attractive, slightly spicy, citrusy minerally, very faintly nutty nose. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, nicely structured, fairly intense, ripe, apple-lemon-melon flavours with a lingering, crisp, unoaked, harmonious finish. Outstanding value and great with seafood and poultry, this ready-to-drink, crowd-pleaser from Abruzzo has 12.5% alcohol and under 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L3-176A on the back label.

TASTING NOTE: A nice combination of bright, citrusy fruit and savory mineral character here, which is typical for pecorino. Floral notes add further interest. Medium-bodied with a tight and tasty palate and an enduring lemon and lime finish. Super standard bearer for this local grape. Drink now. Score - 92 (jamessuckling.com, June 4, 2023) Price $ 17.95
