STAGS LEAP DISTRICT CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2019 Stags Leap District, Napa Valley
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CLIFF LEDE
Deep intense ruby-purple colour. Bright, fragrant, intense, gently complex, ripe Damson plum, cassis, raspberry and black cherry on the nose with elegant cedary notes. Attractive, dry, medium-full to full bodied, dense, rich, ripe, cassis-driven, plum-crancherry flavours with a lingering, very bright, gently cedary, lifted, minerally finish. This new blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot was aged in French oak barrels (8% new) for twenty-one months and has 14.6% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar. Showing well now, it will evolve nicely over the next decade. CSPC 14217

TASTING NOTE: This wine substantially overdelivers on its price point, presenting a dark fruit profile, generous tannin and oak, and an expansive full-bodied style. Blended with 8% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, it is approachable while never forgetting its structured, complex roots. Editors' Choice.
