| A classically-styled Chianti with a gentle modern fruity twist! It has a fairly deep red colour with a slightly spicy, gently plummy nose with some very faintly smoky, sandalwood-chestnut notes. Dry and medium bodied albeit quite well structured, the perfectly ripe, somewhat tangy, gently spicy, Damson plum flavours are followed up with a lingering, crisp, sandalwood-tinged finish. This very tasty harmonious blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo is quite ready-to-drink and great value. A real crowd-pleaser, it has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L05/23 on the back label. |

| TASTING NOTE: Le Calvane Estate trace their winemaking history to 1427, and though between 2005 and 2011 they did not make their own wines, they maintained their high-quality vineyards and their grapes were used by the renowned Frescobaldi family. This 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo is loaded with cherry, vanilla, leather and spice. Perfect for pasta, red meats and cheeses. Enjoy through 2026+. |
