CUVÉE III RED 2020 PGI Achaia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MEGA SPILEO
This wonderful inspired blend of 40% Mavrodaphne, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Agiorgitiko has a very deep intense purple colour and an intense, floral (violet-tinged), complex, ripe, plum-cassis-black-cherry nose with some slightly smoky, cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, extracty, well structured, still youthful, intense, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a fine mid-palate and a lingering, still somewhat grippy, very bright, lingering, cedary finish. Great in a large Riedel Double Magnum 001 glass and well suited for a rib steak. Has full molactic and was aged in new American oak for 8 months, it has 13% alcohol and 10 g/L residual sugar (albeit no sweetness evident) with lot number L2313 on the back label. Terrific value - it will improve with age. CSPC 25708
