TASTING NOTE: For the Gran Malbec, winemaker Juan Bruzzone opts for vineyards planted with the bush style gobelet system 14 years ago on stony, calcareous soils at an altitude of about 1,500 meters. That's where the malbec is transformed. It stops being the friendly red from warmer zones and becomes a piercing, sharp-angled red with pronounced acidity and notes of red fruits and flowers as well as earthy touches that lend complexity in a wine that is all character and sense of place.
