BOCKENHEIM PINOT NOIR 2019 Vegan, Sustainable |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

NEISS |
NEW in Vintages this tasty Pinot Noir is also known as Spatburgunder which is the most popular red variety in Germany. Medium-deep purple-garnet in colour, it has a lively, fine, ripe, plummy-crancherry nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied and quite well structured, the bright, fresh Damson-plum-raspberry-crancherry flavours are followed up with a lingering, gently toasty, lifted, faintly minerally finish. Perfect for your Thanksgiving turkey dinner, it has 13.5% alcohol, 3.2 g/L residual sugar and 5.4 g/L total acidity with lot APN 512406800623 on the back label. Screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: This wine is sourced from vines rooted in slate soil with deep reserves of chalk in the far north area of Pfalz. The result is a fruity, earthy Pinot reminiscent of a red from the Loire Valley, with hints of raspberry, cinnamon, and potting soil. |
