Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TENUTE SILVIO NARDI
This twelfth Vintages release of Silvio Nardiís Brunello is showing beautifully now. When itís this good why wait years? It has a fairly deep bright garnet red colour and a gently spicy, complex, intense, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis nose with some violet-rose floral and gently complex sandalwood-cedar notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, very well structured, faintly spicy, intense, ripe, rounded, plummy-cherry-cassis flavours with a lovely, lingering, gently cedary, mineraly, sandalwood-tinged finish. Has 15.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L21/BR-17-1B on the back label. Aged for 12 months in new and used French oak barriques (Allier) followed by 12 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. CSPC 922054
