CHARDONNAY 2021 Monterey, Sonoma and Santa Barbara counties
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MEIOMI
This crowd-pleaser typifies the new improved direction of California Chardonnay with less emphasis on oak and much more on freshness. Bright medium-light straw colour, it has gently spicy, floral, ripe pear aromatics with some melon-lemon-apple notes. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, ripe, pear-melon-apple-lemon flavours with a lingering, very faintly cedary finish. It’s ready-to-drink and will work well with poultry. Fermented in stainless steel tanks with lees stirring creating good mouthfeel. Underwent 100% malolactic fermentation and was aged with French oak. Has 13.5% alcohol and according to the LCBO 6 g/L residual sugar. Screwcap closure. CSPC 410712
