LA POSTA |
A REPEAT of the recommended 2021 (**/**+) was released on December 17, 2022 at $17.95. Tasted from a just-purchased bottle with a new bottling lot L23142 on the back label. Intense very deep purple colour. Fresh, juicy, ripe, black-cherry nose with some spicy, gently cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied, spicy, juicy, plummy-black-cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, fairly high acid finish. This 2021 was vinified in a similar manner as the 2020 - 50% was aged in 100% French oak barrels (10% new barrel and 40% second and third use barrels) and 50% in stainless steel tanks. This ready-to-drink, crowd-pleaser has 13.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar |
