NAPA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2020 Napa Valley
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer SUBMISSION
New In Vintages. This black currant jam packed Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep intense purple colour. There’s a ton of fruit on the nose - from cassis to strawberry jam - that is appealing even if it does not make one think of Cabernet Sauvignon. Ditto on the palate. Fairly dry, medium-full bodied, solid, well structured, spicy, blueberry-black-cherry-casis flavours that are larger than life followed up by a long lingering, cedary, chocolate-cherry finish. It almost like drinking a Port. Has 14.5% alcohol and 7 g/L residual sugar with lot number L22315 on the lower part of the glass bottle. The LCBO note says that this is “a wine designed for hamburgers or meatloaf” which is great except that it costs $56.95 a bottle. CSPC 33762
