MALBEC 2021 Vegan, Tupungato, Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CAMELEON
With 95-points at $18.95 I was compelled to try a bottle. It has a rather deep youthful purple colour. The nose was initially slightly dusty with some slightly spicy, ripe plum fruit notes. On the palate it was dry, medium-to-medium-light bodied, bright and slightly spicy with pleasant ripe plum fruit followed up by a fairly crisp, unoaked somewhat linear finish. It seems that this batch was bottled this year 2023 as there are two numbers on the back label (L023144 and LOT 23012). It has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. It is worth buying as long as you don’t expect that you it is going to taste like something that actually deserves 95-points. CSPC 24875
