| This 9th Vintages release best buy from Portugal’s Dao region is the best ever at an incredible price. Deep purple colour, the nose is intense and slightly spicy with fresh ripe plummy-black-cherry notes along with a touch of oak. Dry, medium bodied and quite well structured with slightly spicy, bright, ripe, plummy-cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, very faintly smoky, bright, raspberry-tinged finish. This ready-to-drink blend of 40% Alfrocheiro, 40% Tinta Roriz (aka Tempranillo) and 20% Touriga Nacional was aged in equal parts French oak and stainless steel for six months. It has 13% alcohol and under 7 g/L residual sugar with lot number L14113C23 on the back label. Do not miss trying this bargain-priced red. |

| TASTING NOTE: This wine is a blend of 40% Alfrocheiro, 40% Aragonez and 20% Touriga Nacional that saw six months in French oak. It's quite fruit-forward and ripe, with bold red fruit leading the charge. The oak imparts wonderful spice and toast notes. A solid option for all your favourite barbecue fare. |
