OLLI GRILLO 2021 DOP Sicilia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer FEUDO MACCARI
Ready to drink and reasonably priced Sicilian whites are becoming increasing popular. This one has a bright medium-light straw colour and an attractive, gently spicy, slightly floral, honeyed, pear-lemon-melon-apple puree nose with some slight mineral notes. Dry and medium to medium-light bodied, it has spicy, minerally, crisp, red apple and yellow plum flavours with a lingering, gently tangy, unoaked finish. Try with seafood and/or poultry. Planted in 2002 this 100% bush vine Grillo from Noto on the southernmost tip of Sicily has 13% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L5722 on the back label. This is its sixth appearance in Vintages. CSPC 477877
