GROWERS BLEND CABERNET FRANC 2020 VQA Niagara Peninsula
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TAWSE
Deep purple-red colour, the nose shows lots of crancherry fruit with some spicy, mineral-tinged, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, nicely structured, gently cedary, fairly intense, bright, plum-crancherry-raspberry flavours with a lingering, high acid, faintly savoury, still youthful finish. It has 13% alcohol, 2 g/L residual sugar and a hefty 6.15 g/L total acidity. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, this 2020 Cabernet Franc is slightly savoury and still a tad tight - it should benefit with another year or so of aging. CSPC 284570
