JEAN-MAX ROGER |
This June 24 release appeared in Vintages on June 10. Bright light salmon-pink colour. Elegant, fairly intense, fresh, ripe Damson plum aromas with some mineral-tinged red currant and strawberry notes. Dry, medium bodied, very slightly spicy, attractive, bright, fresh, ripe, plum-strawberry flavours with a crisp, unoaked, lingering, mineral-tinged finish. This tasty 100% Pinot Noir rose has 12.5% alcohol and 1 g/L residual sugar with lot number L22.11LA010.23 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Perfection with fresh fish, lobster and especially Quenelles Nantua. |

TASTING NOTE: This Pinot Noir-based rosé comes from vines grown in flinty limestone and marl soils. It's intense and floral, with bright strawberry, citrus and mineral flavours bolstered by a vibrant acidity. A rosé that will continue to evolve for another 2-3 years. Pair with charcuterie or smoked salmon. |
