CABERNET/MERLOT 2020 VQA Niagara Peninsula
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CUDDY BY TAWSE
Fairly deep purple colour with a slightly peppery somewhat savoury, spicy, plum-apple nose with some gentle cedary notes. Very dry, medium bodied, somewhat herbal, intense, firm, youthful, plum-red-apple flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, leanish, somewhat cedary finish. Aged for 16 months in French oak, the youthful Cabernet Franc notes dominate. Best with a grilled steak - needs time - perhaps anoth two years - to develop. It has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. CSPC 469031
