CHÂTEAU BOURNAC 2015 AC Médoc |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

Here is a remarkable 2015 Medoc Cru Bourgeois that is approaching its peak of drinkability. Faintly ambering deep garnet red colour. Very intense, rich, cedar-sandalwood-tinged nose with mature, ripe, Damson plum cassis nose with some hints of licorice. Dry, medium-full bodied, intense, complex, somewhat earthy, dense, mouthfilling, dried ripe plum and cassis flavours with a lingering, graphite, minerally, somewhat cedary, high acid, sandalwood finish. Very complex with excellent mouthfeel. Roast duck, a rare rib steak and old cheddar cheese would work well. This blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot has 13.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L01B15 on the back label. If you enjoy a big mature Bordeaux, this should really hit the spot. The 2003 was released on July 21, 2007 at $33.95 (cspc 35725). |

TASTING NOTE: Some warm spicy accents with gently nutty oak, cassis and blueberries. The palate has mid-weight depth and fresh, elegant silky tannins that carry blueberry fruits fresh and even. Try from 2020. Score - 90 (jamessuckling.com, Feb. 2, 2018) |
