CHÂTEAUX VIEUX CHEVROL 2019 AC Lalande de Pomerol
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer
This still youthful Lalande de Pomerol is the kind of Bordeaux that goes perfectly with the family Sunday rib roast. Deep intense purple colour, the nose is gently savoury with ripe, plummy, crancherry fruit and some very slightly spicy and gently cedary notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, nicely structured, somewhat tangy, faintly herbal, firm, ripe, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, still somewhat grippy finish. This tasty blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged 12 months in 600 liter casks and bottled unfiltered, it has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. Still needs another year or so in bottle to become more accessible. The 2018 (**+) was released on September 10, 2022 at $31.95. CSPC 525931
