Bright salmon-pink colour with streams of tiny bubbles. Attractive, intense, gently complex, very faintly toasty, ripe plum nose with some hints of raspberry, lemon and apple. Dry, medium bodied, nicely textured, rounded, gently complex, ripe, plum-red-cherry fruit flavours with a lingering, bright, fairly effervescent finish. TASTING NOTE: [Though not the same bottling tasted by Jim Gordon, this wine will show consistent quality and style.] This is an elegant, dry wine, offering a copper color, light raspberry aromas, lightly tart flavors and an appetizing, snappy texture. It is great for those who favor balance and crispness in a bottle of fizz. Score - 91 (Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast, Nov. 1, 2020) |
