BIJOU WINE |
This very light salmon coloured blend of 45% Cinsault, 40% Grenache, 10% Caladoc and 5% Syrah has an attractive, floral, faintly honeyed, peach-apple-pear aromatics. It is fairly dry (6 g/L residual sugar) and medium to medium-light bodied with fresh, bright, ripe, peachy-melon flavours with a lingering, smooth, still crisp finish. A ready-to-drink, crowd-pleaser with 12.5% alcohol that will pair well with just about anything. |

TASTING NOTE: This wine's name celebrates Sophie Valrose: a vineyard worker and leading 19th-century advocate for women's rights. She was instrumental in improving the working conditions for women in the vineyards. This rosé comes from Cinsault, Grenache, Caladoc and Syrah vines planted in volcanic soils that are between 25 and 50 years old. It's finessed, fresh and round with wild strawberry, citrus, floral and spice tones. |
