Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

ALPHA ESTATE |
Bright lightish garnet red colour. Elegant, very pleasant, gently spicy, plummy, ripe apple-raspberry nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, fresh, ripe, youthful, plum-cherry-apple flavours with a lingering, fairly crisp, sandalwood-tinged finish. Quite nicely structured and shows easy drinkability. It has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar and was aged for 12 months in Allier oak barrels of medium grain with a light toast. |

TASTING NOTE: The unique Xinomavro is Greece's noblest red grape and is capable of producing exquisite wines, with some of the best expressions earning comparisons to Piedmont's famous Nebbiolo wine: Barolo. This one comes from a leading producer and delivers juicy red and dark fruit, oak spice, clove, leather and pepper. Lively, fresh and enjoyable. Drink into early 2030s. |
