CUVÉE GENÈSE SANCERRE 2021 AC |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
JEAN-MAX ROGER |
Here is an elegant, well balanced, 100% Sauvignon Blanc - a classic Sancerre - that makes for perfect Springtime drinking. Bright light straw colour, it has a slightly spicy, very faintly grassy, bright, ripe, lemon-apple-melon nose with some floral-tinged mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied and slightly spicy with an elegant, bright, fresh, ripe apple-lemon flavours followed up by a lingering, very crisp, mineral-tinged, well balanced finish. Best with seafood, it has 12.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2110BG15122 on the lower part of the glass bottle. |

TASTING NOTE: The Loire's 2021 vintage was challenging and saw massively reduced yields across the region. This perennially popular and highly rated Sauvignon Blanc reflects all the purity and freshness of classic Loire with complex citrus, apple, fresh grass and minerality. This wine will be in high demand and has the potential to see you through to the end of the decade. |
