Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
TAWSE |
This new blend of 52% Pinot Noir, 40% Cabernet Franc, 6% Gamay and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon has a very bright light pink colour and a fresh, minerally, red apple and orchard fruit nose. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied and slightly spicy with fresh, ripe, crancherry-apple flavours and a crisp, faintly mineral-tinged finish. Very pleasant and ready-to-drink, it has 11.5% alcohol, 11 g/L residual sugar (and yet not sweet) with 6.5 g/L total acidity. Screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: Though not organic, this wine was made using sustainable practices. The vines were hand-tended, including shoot thinning, cluster thinning and leaf removal. A blend of Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Gamay, this will be ripe, fresh and round with a long, textured finish and suggestions of prune, smoke, spices, herbs and pink grapefruit. Enjoy with grilled salmon. |
