CUVÉE LES CAILLOTTES SANCERRE 2020 AC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer JEAN-MAX ROGER
Bright light straw colour. Bright, slightly spicy, gently complex, faintly floral, very slightly grassy, ripe, lemon-melon-apple nose with some mineral notes. Dry, medium bodied albeit quite well structured, slightly spicy, attractive, ripe, lemon-melon-apple flavours with a lingering, cfairly crisp, lifted, mineral-tinged, well balanced finish. Very nice mouthfeel - best with seafood. Quite ready to drink, it has a surprising 14% alcohol and under 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L209B004622 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Bigger and better than the 2019 that was released on September 10, 2022.5. CSPC 65573

TASTING NOTE: This taut, fresh wine is sourced from vines spanning 6-40 years of age planted in soil with plenty of caillottes (small limestone pebbles). It shows vibrant, sharply defined fruit and a classic gunflint minerality. Pair with aperitifs featuring goat cheese or oysters, or with a main dish of seafood or sautéed pork. Enjoy through 2028, but don't be surprised if this drinks to the end of the decade. Price $ 35.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
Tasting Date vintages release - April 15, 2023
Cases bought 168 (12 bottles per case)
