Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
LA POSTA |
This is the nineth release in Vintages. Very deep intense purple colour, the nose shows lots of spicy, juicy, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis fruit with some cedar-licorice notes. Dry, medium bodied and slightly spicy with ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours and a lingering, crisp, somewhat cedary, slightly herbal finish. This ready-to-drink, crowd-pleaser has 13.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L22289 on the back label. Half of the wine spent 10 months in barrels (15% new), the balance was aged in stainless steel tanks. |
