SIGNATURE SERIES PINOT NOIR 2017 Sustainable, Valle de Casablanca |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
CHILENSIS |
I was surprised to discover that this NEW in Vintages 100% Pinot Noir from from the Casablana Valley has 15% alcohol. It comes with a rather deep, intense, red colour along with a ripe, robust, plummy-crancherry nose that has some initial faintly leafy notes followed up by roses and raspberry. It’s dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, ripe, plum-crancherry flavours with a lingering, faintly herbal, gently toasty finish. It’s hard to believe that it is six years old and offers tasty drinkability with 15% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 29718 on the back label. |
