ESTATE PINOT NOIR 2019 VQA Vinemount Ridge, Niagara Peninsula
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer WESTCOTT
This attractive 100% Pinot Noir has medium-pale garnet red colour and 30% was whole cluster fermented - all in French oak (no new) for 22 months. The nose has plummy, wild cherry aromas with some raspberry notes plus a touch of very gently savoury, slightly spicy, toast. Dry, bright and medium bodied with faintly spicy, still youthful, ripe, plum-crancherry-raspberry flavours and a lingering, harmonious, elegant, quite ready-to-enjoy finish. Great with salmon or turkey. It has 12.5% alcohol, 2 g/L residual sugar and 5.6 g/L total acidity (100% malolactic) with 1,200 cases produced and bottled in August 2021. CSPC 427500
