Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
MANOS NEGRAS |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. The nose is intense with very ripe, plummy, mullberry fruit along with some spicy, minerally, sandalwood-cedar notes. Dry, medium-deep, quite well structured, slightly spicy, ripe, fairly intense, plummy, blackberry fruit flavours with a lingering, bright, gently cedary, nicely textured finish. Quite ready to drink, it has 13.7% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L-22264 on the back label. |

TASTING NOTE: The 2019 Stone Soil Select Malbec was produced with grapes from a stony vineyard with limestonerich soils in Paraje Altamira, and it showcases the fresh aromatic and mineral expression of the place. It's juicy and fruit-driven, fresh and floral with a mineral feeling, a chalky texture and a dry and serious finish. Drink date: 2021-2024. Score - 91 (Luis Gutiérrez, robertparker.com, March 31, 2021) |
