SAUVIGNON BLANC 2022 Awatere Valley, Marlborough, South Island
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ERADUS
This recently bottled 2022 Sauvignon Blanc has a bright very pale straw colour. The nose is still very youthful, slightly leesy and very grassy with some faintly honeyed, beeswax and pithy yellow grapefruit peel notes. Dry, medium bodied, very tangy, spicy, grassy, fresh, yellow grapefruit flavours with a lingering, unoaked, faintly high acid, grippy finish. Terrific with oysters and seafood, it has 13.5% alcohol and according to the website under 1 g/L residual sugar(4 g/L at the LCBO) with a hefty 7.1 g/L total acidity and number 3422086 on the lower part of the glass bottle. It is still pretty young and will show better with another year of aging. CSPC 225557
