| This blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc has an intense purple-red colour. Attractive, ripe, plummy-cherry nose with some gently complex, toasty notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, nicely structured, ripe, plum, red cherry and cassis flavours with a lingering, slightly spicy, elegantly toasty, harmonious finish. This six-year-old South Islands Lake Erie North Shore blend with 10 months aging in French and Hungarian oak is still very much alive and fresh tasting. This second recently bottled batch with a new label has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with the code Aug.1420 on the back label. NEW in Vintages. |
