FIRST VILLAGE SHIRAZ/CABERNET 2018 Barossa, South Australia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer BETHANY
Here is NEW in Vintages Barossa blend of spicy, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleasing blend of 62% Shiraz and 38% Cabernet Sauvignon. Fairly deep intense purple colour. The nose is very spicy with lots of ripe, plummy-blueberry fruit along with a touch of cedar and faint mocha-chocolate note. It’s fairly dry, medium-deep and quite fruity with ripe, plummy, red and black cherry purée flavours followed up by a lingering, gently cedary finish. It has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number G12A2032 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. CSPC 26874

TASTING NOTE: Fruit forward and gorgeously complex at the same time with blackberry, sweet cherry, spicy oak, olive and warm spice characters with a hint of floral overtone. It's succulent and lingering on the palate offering youthful fruit power combined with silky texture, making it fabulously drinkable. At its best: now to 2032.
