Faintly deep purple colour. Elegant, fairly intense, very slightly spicy, ripe plum nose with some gentle cedary, sandalwood and red licorice notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, intense, harmonious, slightly spicy, maturing, ripe plum-red-cherry flavours with a lingering, chestnut-tinged, cedar-sandalwood finish. This blend of 90-95% Sangiovese and 10-5% other grapes is aged 14-16 months in wood (two thirds in French barriques and tonneaux and one-third in vats). It has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L21272 on the back label. CSPC 988055
