ZINGARI 2019 IGT Toscana |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
PETRA |
Fairly deep intense purple colour. Gently spicy, fairly juicy, ripe, plum-black-cherry purée nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, fairly spicy, attractive, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, bright, gently cedary, refreshing finish. A ready-to-drink, well-made, crowd-pleaser. This blend of 25% Merlot, 25% Sangiovese, 25% Petit Verdot and 25% Syrah has 13.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L226 on the back label. Very similar to the best buy 2018 (**/**+) that was released on March 5, 2022 at $19.95. |

TASTING NOTE: Sour cherries, salted plums, dried herbs, mushrooms and tomato leaves on the nose. It's mediumto full-bodied with fine tannins. Lots of juicy fruit on the palate with herbal, gently leafy character. Drink or hold. Score - 92 (jamessuckling.com, Oct. 5, 2021) |
