Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TRIUS
A REPEAT of the recommended 2020 that was released on March 19, 2022 at $19.95. Just retasted, it is showing even better today with excellent harmony. It has a very deep intense purple colour and an attractive, ripe, plummy-red-cherry -raspberry nose with some gently toasty, minerally notes. Dry, medium-bodied, harmonious, slightly spicy, fairly intense, fresh, ripe, plum-cherry-raspberry fruit flavours with a bright lingering, well balanced finish. This ready-to-drink Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in a variety of French oak barriques for six months. It has 14% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with 6.1 g/L total acidity. Screwcap closure. TASTING NOTE: A very dense and chewy cabernet sauvignon, still with an abundance of freshness. Perfectly ripe, even a touch warm with black fruit compote, graphite and dried violet on the nose. The tannins are firm but not unyielding. Great concentration and length. Tasted March 2022. Score - 89 (Sara d'Amato, winealign.com) Price $ 19.95
