SHIRAZ 2018 Barossa Valley, South Australia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer OSCAR'S ESTATE VINEYARD
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Very attractive, huge, intense nose focused on ripe black-cherry fruit with some faintly smoky, cedar-caramel notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, intense, fairly rich, ripe, plummy-black-cherry fruit with lots of vanilla-caramel-cedar notes on the lingering, bright, toasty, blueberry-cassis-tinged finish. Great value here - aged for 20 months in previously-used French and American oak barrels. It has 15% alcohol, 3 g/L residual sugar and a hefty 6.9 g/L total acidity with lot number L22238 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. CSPC 225631
