| The 2018 vintages was excellent and this one with its fairly deep intense purple colour is a winner. Attractive, gently spicy, perfumed, warm ripe plum nose with some minerally, sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, somewhat spicy, intense, very bright, ripe, plum-cherry-raspberry flavours with a lingering, gently complex, bright, fresh, slightly sandalwood-tinged finish. Quite ready-to-drink but will keep. This blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon has a hefty 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L.040 on the back label. The best yet. |
